The extension of the Marrakech School of Architecture is a project that expands its presence in the Moroccan educational panorama. Founded a few years ago under the Ministry of Urban Planning, it has created its own identity thanks to courses focused on the local building tradition and exchanges with international universities. Despite the pandemic, it produced its first graduates in 2020, highlighting resilience and adaptation. Through workshops led by international architects, a new teaching model has emerged. Currently located in the Hivernage district, the school needs additional spaces while waiting for the new headquarters. The expansion of the spaces is made possible by taking advantage of a multifunctional central patio, typical of the Marrakech medina and includes four classrooms of 50 m2 each, surrounded by a container "wagon" that winds around a central patio and overlooks the existing garden. This space is rich in architectural meanings and references to the history of architecture and local artistic tradition. The goal is to create a continuous and immersive learning environment for students. The project is created with Karim El Achak – Atelier Kel.
